New Bill To Address Media Consolidation
Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wisc., plans to introduce bipartisan legislation as early as next week to address issues relating to media consolidation. A source says the bill will call for caps on media ownership, set rules to close loopholes of "new payola" payments to radio, and curb extra charges on tickets.
Feingold hopes to attract many co-sponsors.
