Bertelsmann Plans Paid Fan Club Sites

Bertelsmann's Digital World Services distribution arm is launching a subscription fan club business called BeFanatic, and has inked a deal with sister company Arista Records to set up Internet-based clubs for its acts.

The offering, to be announced today, will allow

access to "fan only" content, including exclusive music, videos, and ticket offers. Arista act Boyz II Men will be the first to use the service in support of its upcoming album, "Full Circle." Pricing for the service--which will bow later this summer--has not been disclosed.
