Zöe/Rounder Inks Roots-Rockers The BoDeans

The BoDeans have signed with Zöe/Rounder, which will release the new studio album "Resolution" in June.

The roots-rock group, founded in Wisconsin in 1985, was named Rolling Stone's best new band of 1987 on the strength of its album "Outside Looking In" (Slash/Reprise).

The BoDeans' 1993 set "Go Slow Down," also on Slash/Reprise, featured "Closer to Free," the theme song to the hit TV show "Party of Five." That track reached No. 3 on the Adult Top 40 chart.

The BoDeans are planning to tour behind the new album.
