Country Supergroup Cherry Bombs Reunites

The Cherry Bombs have reunited for a new album, to be released in late summer or early fall from Universal South.

The original group included Universal South senior partner Tony Brown, along with Rodney Crowell, Vince Gill, Emory Gordy, Richard Bennett, Hank DeVito and the late Larry London. The reunited band, now known as the Notorious Cherry Bombs, features all of the original members except Gordy and London, along with Eddie Bayers, Michael Rhodes and John Hobbs.

While they never recorded an album under that name, the Cherry Bombs served as Crowell's band in the late '70s and early '80s. They played on most of Crowell's solo Warner Bros. albums, as well as many of Rosanne Cash's recordings from that era.
