Keys Leads Nominations For Soul Train Awards
Alicia Keys leads the nominations for the 16th annual Soul Train Music Awards, with four. She is up for best R&B/soul or rap new artist, and her "Songs in A Minor" is up for best R&B/soul album, female, and R&B/soul or rap album of the year. Her song "Fallin' " is up for best R&B/soul
single, female.
Named in three categories each are Aaliyah, India.Arie, and the Isley Brothers featuring Ronald Isley aka Mr. Biggs.
The show will be taped March 25 at the L.A. Sports Arena; it will air in syndication starting March 30. Awards are determined by radio programmers, artists, and retailers.
