David Leibowitz has stepped down from the office of the chairman at digital-watermark developer Verance and joined CH Boston, a new strategic and financial advisory firm, as a managing partner and director. Leibowitz, who remains a Verance director, says CH Boston aims to be a "matchmaker" between new-technology
firms and companies involved in the "infrastructure" of media and entertainment, such as consumer-electronics makers.
Leibowitz, who has also served as RIAA general counsel, is joined at CH Boston by Greg Wertheimer, a Verance director and co-founder of ARIS Technologies. ARIS merged with Solana Technology Development Corp. in 1999 to form Verance.
