Northeast One-Stop Files Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Northeast One-Stop, a unit of publicly traded Planet Entertainment, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Friday in Albany, N.Y., according to trade sources. In its most recent filing with the SEC, Planet Entertainment reported a loss of $3.1 million on sales of $27.7 million for the nine-month

period that ended May 31. Stock in Planet, which trades under the symbol PNEC.OB, is at one cent.

Menands, N.Y.-based Northeast, which this year won NARM's award for wholesaler of the year award for its size category, has been experiencing financial difficulties for most of 2001 and has been frequently on "credit hold" with many of its suppliers.
