Library role studied

Research is being undertaken into the role played by library-based homework clubs in the raising of children's and young people's achievements. The research project is being undertaken by the Centre of Informational Research and Training at the School of Information Studies, University of Central England.

The study will investigate the nature and extent of homework club provision in public libraries and identify models of good practice. The findings will be reported in November 1999. Further details may be had on 0121-331 6891.
