Awarded Bertelsmann’s International Thriller of the Year prize at the Frankfurt Book Fair, the book will be offered by DirectGroup in early January 2005.

rights deals and legal conditions in each individual country. As a rule of thumb, trade publication starts between two and six months after the book clubs."
In nine countries where there is no DirectGroup book club, the title will be sold immediately in bookshops. It will be published simultaneously in 18 languages.
Among the clubs involved are BCA in the UK; Bookspan in the US; Doubleday Direct and France Loisirs in Canada; Der Club in Germany; France Loisirs in France; ECI in the Netherlands; and Doubleday Direct Australia.
