Resource appoints Jonathan Douglas

Jonathan Douglas, professional adviser for youth and schools at the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP), is to join Resource as its head of learning and access.

Mr Douglas will lead Resource's effort to make more learning materials accessible

to users of libraries, museums and archives, as one of its strategic objectives over the next few years. The appointment extends Resource's reach into public libraries after it was given more powers by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport to act as advocate for the sector.

Mr Douglas has previously helped CILIP to champion library projects for children through schemes such as the Reading Relay and Summer Reading Challenge.
