Profile gets van Gogh biog
The authors are working with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Crew says: “They write absolutely beautifully about van Gogh’s life and his art, and the extraordinary relationship between the two, with amazing use of the sources, including letters never cited before.” Publication will be in autumn 2009,
to coincide with a retrospective of the artist’s work. HarperCollins will have a rival biography, by Tim Hilton.
Profile has UK and Commonwealth rights (exc Canada) through Shana Kelly at William Morris. Random House will publish in the US. Rights have also been sold in Germany (Fischer) and the Netherlands (Prometheus).
