Bruno and Bloomfield honoured at Sports Book Awards

By Giles Elliott
Publication: Bookseller
Date: Wednesday, March 22 2006
Michael Parkinson presented Roddy Bloomfield with an award for Outstanding Contribution to the Sports Publishing Industry at the ceremony. Bloomfield is profiled in The Bookseller this week.

Yellow Jersey picked up a second gong when television presenter Gary Imlach

added to last November’s William Hill award by winning Best New Writer, sponsored by Ladbrokes, for My Father and Other Working-Class Football Heroes.

HarperCollins doubled up with the two remaining awards--the Times Best Biography for Dan Coyle’s Lance Armstrong: Tour de Force, for which Imlach was also nominated, and Stora Enso Best Illustrated Title for Speed Addicts: Grand Prix Racing by Mark Hughes.
