Mums v supermums

By Nicholas Clee
Publication: Bookseller
Date: Thursday, September 29 2005
The Playground Mafia is about a battle between ordinary, harassed mothers and a group of apparently omnicompetent “supermums” who rule their children’s school. “I loved the concept,” Scott says, “and I loved the down-to-earth tone of the central character, Caroline, who’s pragmatic and warm and a little

bit sharp.”

Scott bought UK and Commonwealth rights in two books through agent Jacqueline Burns at Free Agents. Arrow will publish The Playground Mafia as a lead paperback original in September 2006.
