During 2Q05, Fleet Feet sales were up 26.9%. With $13.5 million in sales, the chain recorded the first, second and fourth largest sales months in the company's 28-year history. Comp-store sales were up 18.4%. YTD sales were up 22.2% with $25 million in revenues. Comp-store sales were up 14.7% YTD.


Oakley appointed Frits van Paasschen to the company's board of directors. Van Paasschen is president/CEO of Coors Brewing Co., a subsidiary of Molson Coors Brewing. Prior to joining Coors, van Paasschen worked for Nike from '97-'04, serving as corporate VP/GM of Nike's Europe, Middle East and Africa region.


Wachovia upgraded Volcom to outperform from market perform, sending the stock up 11%. The firm cited valuation in the wake of a recent pullback in the share price and said its channel checks on the company's business have been positive?CS First Boston initiated coverage of Nike with an outperform.
