Training With The Pros? Online
Athletic Training Equipment Co. [www.atecsports.com], Sparks, Nev., has launched its "Training With The Pros" series on the Internet. The ATEC website will feature professional players and coaches from baseball and softball answering fundamental questions about successful coaching, training and playing.
As part of the site's "Clinic Series," users are given the opportunity to submit questions. At the end of each month, the ATEC Pros will consolidate the most frequently asked questions and post their replies.
The first three clinics will be taught by former Major League player and coach Jim Lefebvre and will focus on good swings and successful training programs. Other professionals from ATEC's Advisory Board include San Francisco Giants head coach Dusty Baker and Olympic gold medallist Sheila Cornell-Douty. Since forming the board in 1982, ATEC has used these "innovators of training" to develop new product concepts.
