MLB Names Reebok Official Footwear Licensee
In what could give them a solid toehold in the team footwear business, Reebok has been named the MLB Authentic Collection official supplier of footwear. The multi-year, global deal between the footwear vendor and Major League Baseball Properties brings Reebok back into the Major League Baseball licensing
business.
The Reebok MLB Authentic Collection product line will include both baseball and softball footwear. The design will feature the MLB silhouetted batter.
Starting in 2005 all Reebok-contracted MLB players, as well as other non-contracted players, managers and coaches, will wear the specially designed MLB Authentic Collection performance footwear. The agreement also allows Reebok to develop and market footwear products for MLBP in other product categories.
