Frank McCourt's third memoir,
Teacher Man, shot immediately up the charts to No. 2 when it debuted last week. Although sales are ever-so-slightly down (to 47,000 units, from 49,000), even with the holiday shopping season, McCourt's latest holds at that position on the Nonfiction Chart. The
Angela's Ashes
author had been promoting
Teacher Man with a stop at the
Today show and has landed mentions in newspapers across the country, including the
New York Times. Also on the chart,
A Million Little Pieces is still holding at No. 1, despite a drop in sales of 17,000 units. But the remaining three titles,
Rachael Ray 365,
Our Endangered Values and
Team of Rivals, all increased in sales.
