NONFICTION BESTSELLERS: 'Endangered Values' a Top Five Debut for 'Peanut Prez'

The latest project in former president Jimmy Carter's busy post-political life, Our Endangered Values: America's Moral Crisis, launched on Nov. 1. Carter's 20th book landed at No. 2 on the Nonfiction Chart this week. In previous works, Carter has written about his life growing up in rural Georgia

and about his faith, and even a novel about the Revolutionary War. But Values offers his opinion on important issues of today and how society's moral values relate to issues affecting us today. The "peanut president" has been making multiple media stops, including an appearance on NPR and an interview with Hardball's Chris Matthews on Nov. 2. The book sold 31,000 units, making it the highest debut this week.
