Boulder, Colo.--Lowe Alpine will sponsor a series of lectures by outdoor athletes and adventurers at the Boulder Outdoor Education Center, Feb. 25 through April 8.

"We want to be involved with not just the high-end guiding companies, but also the mid range of instruction

and educational programs," said Gareth Richards, Lowe Alpine's director of marketing.

The lecture series will run every Monday through April. Speakers will include alpinist Jim Donini, members of the Vail Eco Challenge Team and Gareth Richards, Lowe Alpine's marketing director, who participated in the first disabled ascent of Everest.

Cook said this third annual Summit Adventure Lecture Series is designed to introduce the community to the center and raise funds. The non-profit center conducts outdoor adventure and skiing programs for 2,500 to 3,000 disadvantaged and disabled youths a year.

Admission for the lectures is $7, with all funds going to the center. For information, call 970/453-6422.
