Munich, Germany--Primaloft will open a new factory in Goppinger, Germany, in July to support its growing European business, the company announced. "This will help with lead times and help by cutting freight costs," said Joseph Rumiesz Jr., Primaloft vice president. The new factory, outside of Stuttgart,

will serve the company's growing presence in apparel and home furnishings. "Our glove business has been particularly strong," Rumiesz said. At last count, about 50 European glove brands used Primaloft. Primaloft also has factories in Albany, N.Y., and Natong, China. The company is owned by Albany International, a publicly traded company with annual sales of $900 million.
