Mikimoto hires luxury-sales vet
Beverly Hills, Calif.—Mikimoto America has hired Dawn Moore to oversee its retail operations in Beverly Hills, Calif.
"We are so proud to welcome Ms. Moore to Mikimoto," Mikimoto Chief Operating Officer Meyer Hoffman said in a statement. "It is a privilege to have someone of her caliber running our Beverly Hills efforts."
Mikimoto expects Moore to drive sales and build clientele at Mikimoto's store at the Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel, as well as use her industry contacts to develop and support corporate entertainment efforts.
Moore joins Mikimoto after two years in independent entertainment marketing, where she facilitated product and red-carpet jewelry placements as well as fine-jewelry sales to private clients.
She also has an extensive luxury retail background, having served as regional sales director at the Beverly Hills locations of Chopard, Harry Winston and Christofle.
Mikimoto America is the American subsidiary of K. Mikimoto and Co. Ltd., the Japanese pearl manufacturer and retailer. Company founder Kokichi Mikimoto was among the pioneers of the cultured-pearl industry.
