Gwyneth Paltrow, Damiani to host cancer benefit

New York—Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow will make an appearance at the St. Regis in Manhattan this Thursday to support Damiani's efforts to bring hope to cancer patients in New York City.
The "Create Hope in Your Heart" fund-raiser will benefit the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge New York, which will offer lodging, support and services for cancer patients in and around the city. All proceeds from the event, which will combine high-end jewels and high society, will go to the home.
The Hope Lodge New York—the 23rd lodge of its kind across the country—is scheduled to open in the fall. It will be located on West 32nd Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues. The 77,000-square-foot facility will be a free, non-medical campus-of-care for local residents or out-of-town patients who need information, advice, peer support and guidance during treatment.
