Tolkowsky collection gets North American debut

Huntington Beach, Calif.—Jean Paul Tolkowsky, heir to the diamond legacy of the Tolkowsky "Ideal Cut," introduced a signature jewelry collection featuring a branded "Hearts and Arrows Ideal Cut" diamond at jeweler Simone and Son last month.

Tolkowsky is a Diamond

Trading Co. sightholder and a direct descendent of Marcel Tolkowsky, who defined the parameters for an ideal-cut diamond in his 1919 thesis "Diamond Design." The measurements are still considered an industry benchmark.

Jean Paul Tolkowsky's collection features the round Tolkowsky diamond in a setting that makes it visible from every angle. The line includes bridal and anniversary bands, and every piece comes with a certificate of authenticity ensuring it's a Tolkowsky Ideal Cut diamond.

At the launch event held on Oct. 28, Tolkowsky spoke about his family's diamond history as well as more current topics such as conflict diamonds. He explained how his company can track the origin of a stone from the mines to each signature piece in the collection, ensuring consumer confidence.

Simone and Son was one of two retailers to test the new line, which has been rolled out due to its success.
