Philadelphia—In support of IceLink Watch's Charity-Links Bracelet Campaign, middleweight boxing legend Bernard Hopkins appeared at Philadelphia's USA Boutique on Oct. 7.
USA Boutique, the official local jewelry partner of IceLink's charity campaign, hosted the event,
which benefited the Boys and Girls Clubs of Philadelphia.
Hopkins greeted more than 50 members of the Keystone and Torch Clubs—special character and leadership programs sponsored by the Boys and Girls Clubs. The funds raised during IceLink's local campaign will be used to benefit these groups.
"I'm excited to help IceLink Watch support the Boys and Girls Clubs through this great charity campaign," said Hopkins in a statement. "Through hard work, I was fortunate to emerge as a success from some of Philadelphia's toughest neighborhoods, and in turn, I'm proud to help the Boys and Girls Clubs nurture safe places for them to learn and have fun."
IceLink's Charity-Links Bracelet Campaign is a national charity campaign that raises funds for select charities. IceLink's new Bicycle Bracelet line is available in 10 colors, with each color representing a different cause. The light-blue bracelet was used to support the October event in Philadelphia, the seventh stop of the 10-month campaign. To date, the campaign has helped to raise over $15,000.
