Nirve Starts Outside Sales Rep Program

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA—Nirve is following through on its commitment to specialty retailers by implementing an outside sales rep force. The company in June hired its first reps. John Finkenbiner and Art Ornelas will handle the Southern California region. Finkenbiner is a former GT/Riteway sales rep with 20 years of sales experience. Ornelas has almost 10 years of industry experience. "This marks our entry into a staff of outside reps," said Doug Martin, Nirve's vice president of marketing. "How quickly that is played out has yet to be seen but this is our baby step into that." Finkenbiner, Ornelas and future Nirve reps will handle all three Nirve brands—Nirve bikes, Voxom components and Deviate clothing—as well as ACS freewheels and Hollywood racks. "We think the brand is well positioned, but we want to get it in front of retailers in the most efficient manner possible. There is no better way than walking into stores and meeting retailers face to face," Martin said.
