COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (BRAIN)—USA Cycling announced new sponsorship agreements with five companies for 2006, including Biemme, Mavic, Easton, Innovations and Stan’s No Tubes.

Biemme, in conjunction with Trialtir, joins USA Cycling as the new official supplier of performance clothing of the U.S. National Cycling Teams.

Per an agreement that extends through the 2008 UCI Road World Championships, Italian-owned Biemme will provide performance clothing for all national team competitions, including World Championships, Pan American Championships, the 2007 Pan American Games and the 2008 Olympic games. Ongoing programs like the women’s endurance program and the track program will also wear Biemme at all national team events.

“Cycling is our passion, and for the last 10 years, our business has strived to be involved in all things cycling,” said Trialtir national sales manager Trey Henderson. “It’s a very big honor to be associated with USA Cycling. It’s good recognition for us because we want to be involved in anything that furthers the sport and promotes our brand.”

Trialtir will also pay a royalty to USA Cycling for every USA Cycling Development Foundation jersey sold through the website, www.usacdf.org.

Mavic has signed on to provide carbon wheels for the track, women’s endurance and U23 programs.

Easton has pledged its support to cycling by providing bars, stems and forks for USA Cycling track teams, as well as working with USA Cycling athletics programs to develop innovative cycling prototypes.

Innovations will supply the mountain bike teams with carbon dioxide cartridges. Stan’s No Tubes will provide tire sealant for tubeless mountain bike tires.

“USA Cycling is proud to have the additional support of such reputable industry sponsors,” said USA Cycling chief executive officer Gerard Bisceglia. “The quality of their products is an integral element that directly corresponds with both the success and image of our teams and athletes.”
