Ideal Europe Has New Managing Director
KUTNO, Poland (BRAIN)--Ideal Bicycle's European operation in Poland has a new managing director and is primed to launch a comprehensive new ERP (enterprise resource planning) software system.
The two virtually came as a package, said Louis Chan, executive vice president of the Taiwanese bike maker. The new director, Stefan Boschen, has 10 years prior experience in bicycle manufacturing but most recently worked as a consultant to the software industry.
Boschen "helped Ideal Europe to implement the new ERP system. It seems that working in a bicycle factory for an IT system reminded him that the bicycle is still his preferred field of work," Chan said.
Boschen replaces Wim van Dam, who is retiring to his native Netherlands after running Ideal's factory in Kutno, Poland, for six years.
