Pacenti Cycle Offers Carbon Fiber Frame Kits
CHATTANOOGA, TN (BRAIN)--Pacenti Cycle Design now has Columbus' Mecano carbon fiber frame kits in stock for $1,200. The kit includes a Columbus carbon fork and everything needed to build a complete frameset except bonding material.
"Columbus has made it easy for custom
frame builders to offer custom sized carbon frames to their customers. Just try getting a custom frame from Trek or Colnago," said Kirk Pacenti, Pacenti Cycle's president. Frames weigh in at around 1,250 grams (2.7 pounds).
Mecano uses a Y-shaped monocoque carbon toptube, downtube and bottom bracket. The headtube, rear triangle and seat tube are bonded unto this monocoque piece. The Y-shaped monocoque piece comes in three sizes: small, medium and large. However, depending on how a builder fits the headtube and seat tube, a wide variety of final geometries are possible.
