BLOOMINGTON, MN (BRAIN)--Quality Bicycle Products (QBP) now offers customizable consumer catalogs that are subsidized by the distributor and many of its vendors. Retailers can buy 12- to 24-page glossy, direct mail catalogs.
Retailers can get a catalog designed on a
QBP template to their spec, including information and graphics for any bicycle line outside QBP's stable. More than 60 of QBP's vendors are offering discounted pricing on their products sold within two months of the mailer.
Retailers choose pricing, mail date and any of 15 pre-qualified mailing lists.
QBP absorbs the majority of the production costs, said Jeff Valentine, QBP's copywriter.
"Instead of dealers paying for the marketing, and then putting stuff on sale just to move product, we're giving dealers the opportunity to make some good money while promoting their store as a brand in a professional manner," Valentine said.
