Car Hits Specialized's Bob Margevicius While Cycling
MORGAN HILL, CA (BRAIN) -- Bob Margevicius will be off his bike for a while as he recovers from a broken collarbone and assorted cuts and bruises. up over a blind hill-top and hit my back wheel. I hit the front fender and bounced off the driver's side mirror. Dumbfounded, I got on the bike (one of the other benefits of disc brakes is you can ride with really out-of-true wheels) and rode the eight miles to the office. When I got there, the guys said your shoulder looks bad; you should go to the hospital. Four hours later, the news: no physical exercise for three months. I have some bruised ribs, a shattered collar bone and lots of cuts and bruises."
