Uwe Weissflog Joins Bicycle Retailer's Advertising Sales Staff

LAGUNA HILLS, CA (BRAIN)--Uwe Weissflog, managing director of inMotion mar.com, is Bicycle Retailer and Industry News' newest European sales representative.

Weissflog has an office near Stuttgart, Germany and is responsible for advertising sales in Germany, France,

the Benelux countries and Scandinavian region as well as Eastern Europe. Weissflog also represents Interbike in Europe.

Bicycle Retailer also has a sales agency in Italy, Ediconsult. Wheel Giant represents the magazine in Taiwan and China.

"We're very pleased Uwe is joining our organization," said Marc Sani, the magazine's publisher. "We are making a concerted effort to better understand the European market and to offer companies there the best advice to help promote their brands in the U.S. and Canadian markets."

"Uwe is very knowledgeable about North American retailers and their importance to the global bicycle industry," Sani added.

Weissflog has worked with companies like Shimano, SRAM, Sigma, Velo and Dahon in Europe.

Weissflogg, 44, is married and has a 7-year-old daughter. He holds a university degree in marketing and business and speaks German, English, French and Dutch. Before forming his own company, Weissflogg spent six years at SRAM's European office. Before that, he worked at Shimano Europe for seven years.

Bicycle Retailer now produces four international supplements aimed primarily at suppliers and distributors in Europe, the United States, Canada and the Far East.

"This is a true business-to-business publication without retail distribution," Sani said. "It's an ideal advertising medium for companies seeking increased OE spec as well as enhanced distribution in global markets. Uwe will be instrumental in helping build this newest addition to Bicycle Retailer's portfolio."

"With his knowledge of the market, Uwe also will help keep our editors informed about developing trends, new products and new companies entering the market," Sani said. "He will bring a unique perspective to our business."

According to Weissflogg, the North American consumer market is the world's largest and offers vast sales opportunities for international companies.

"I'm very pleased to be part of Bicycle Retailer's staff. This magazine is recognized world-over for its detailed and accurate coverage of industry news as well as for its up-to-the-minute web site," Weissflogg said.
