LOS ANGELES, CA (BRAIN)--Challenge Publications hired Roman Roth and Suzie Dotan as the editors of Flow and International Roadie magazines. Challenge also published Mountain Biking magazine.
Roth is a former professional racer and longtime freelance writer and photographer
who has written or shot for nearly every major U.S. cycling publication. "When we heard Roman was looking for a staff position, we jumped at the opportunity to have the premier cycling photographer in America at the helm of Flow," said Tim Baulder, a Challenge associate publisher.
Dotan also has spent much of her career in cycling journalism as a freelancer. "Suzie has the maturity and industry respect needed to establish and industry insight needed to establish the brand new bike magazine, Roadie International," Baulder said.
Dotan wrote several stories and was listed as a contributing writer for the premier issue of Road magazine, which is published by H3 Publications. H3 is owned by three former Challenge employees, among them David House, who left the company last July to launch three competing magazines.
Challenge's owner, Ed Schnepf, filed several on-going lawsuits immediately after H3 opened its doors. Schnepf seeks $3 million in damages.
