SEATTLE, WA (BRAIN)--Trails.com inked exclusive content deals with 50 guidebook publishers to use information from more than 600 outdoor travel guidebooks.
The deal allows Trails.com to sell guide book pages over the Internet so riders only have to buy the parts of
the books they need. Consumers can download guidebooks by the chapter. Each description includes trail statistics, route overview, topographic maps, trailhead weather and trail reviews.
Trails.com also has free information on its site. The site contains more than 25,000 trail descriptions covering 13 outdoor activities including hiking, camping, mountain biking, rail-trails, kayaking and skiing across North America.
