Cyclocross Nationals Offers More Than Mud

NEWTON, MA (BRAIN)The Kiron Group, organizers of the National Cyclocross Championships and Super Cup Finals, added a few festival events to its event Dec. 14-16 in Baltimore, Maryland. The races will be accompanied by a meet-the-pros night, a panel discussion on the state of cyclocross racing, a Worlds Team fundraiser and a post-race rider's party at the Baltimore Brewing Co.
The second annual meet-the-pros night Dec. 14 will feature Tim Johnson (Saturn/Timex), Marc Gullickson (Mongoose/Hyundai), Alison Dunlap (Luna Chix) and Ann Grande (Kona/Voicestream).
The following night the Kiron Group will hold a fundraiser for the Super Cup Worlds Team Relief Fund. Also, ceremonial wool jerseys will be given to the winners of the men's and women's national titles.
Meanwhile, the Marriott Courtyard has been established as Official race headquarters. One mile from the racecourse in Baltimore's Inner Harbor, it will host registration, the media room and other meetings during the event.
