MAP To Sell 284 Speedway Stores
Marathon Ashland Petroleum LLC (MAP), Enon, Ohio, plans to sell 284 underperforming Speedway SuperAmerica gasoline stations and c-stores.
The company, which operates 2,400 stores in the Midwest, Texas and the Southeast, prefers to sell the stores in a block sale to
one buyer. The announcement comes three months after MAP completed the purchase of San Antonio-based Ultramar Diamond Shamrock Corp.'s Michigan assets, which included 179 company-operated stores, five product terminals and supply contracts for 242 branded UDS locations.
