PepsiAmericas Creates Assistance Line
PepsiAmericas Inc., the second largest Pepsi bottler, created an assistance line for employees affected by Hurricane Katrina. The number is 1-888-309-7242.
The company, headquartered in Minneapolis, is encouraging Gulf-area employees to call the toll-free hotline so it can get a better understanding of their status, needs and concerns in order to provide resources for assistance.
"We are urging employees to call us toll-free to let us know they're O.K.," said Robert C. Pohlad, chairman and chief executive officer of PepsiAmericas.
The employee assistance hotline, manned by PepsiAmericas employees, will provide important information on such things as payroll and benefits. Employees with access to the Internet can also contact the company by visiting www.pepsiamericas.com.
