Outdoor Payment Terminal
Radiant Systems Inc. launched the Radiant Outdoor Payment Terminal (OPT) featuring pay-at-the-pump technology that gives retailers a dispenser-neutral and point-of-sale-neutral platform for secure transactions on the forecourt. The OPT solution complies with the EMV standards for secure credit card transactions, which were developed by Europay, Mastercard and Visa, and are steadily being adopted by national governments in Europe and Asia as the payment standard. Based on an Intel chipset and Microsoft's Windows technology, the Radiant OPT also uses the open protocols of the International Forecourt Standards Forum (IFSF), lessening the total cost of ownership. The open technology makes the acquisition and deployment of pay-at-the-pump far more affordable, and the industry-standard technology also makes the maintenance easier.
