Fas Mart Named "Official Convenience Store" of Richmond Raceway

RICHMOND, Va. -- GPM Investments LLC, which operates the Fas Mart convenience stores, has agreed to a multi-year sponsorship deal to become the "Official Convenience Store" of Richmond International Raceway, and race fans will see many benefits at and away from the racetrack.

Starting

with the NASCAR doubleheader weekend May 13-15, 75 Fas Mart stores in Virginia will begin selling general admission race tickets to the track's NASCAR Busch Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series/IROC and IRL IndyCar Series events. The race tickets will be offered at a special price exclusively for Fas Mart customers and will be available 30 days leading up to each event.

Fas Mart will also help make things more comfortable for fans once they arrive at the track on race weekends. A Fas Mart convenience store will be located at Lot D near Gate 6 on the eastern part of the track's property and operate on race weekends only. It will offer all of the conveniences and amenities available at other locations, including soft drinks, snacks, toiletries, water and many other items.

"We are really proud to bring a partner on board like Fas Mart that will activate its marketing strategies to directly benefit our fans," said track president Doug Fritz. "We are especially pleased that we now have an on-site Fas Mart convenience store that will help our fans with all of their needs during race weekends."

As the "Official Convenience Store" of Richmond International Raceway, Fas Mart will also have signage inside the facility and throughout the property. The company will also be able to conduct consumer and trade promotions including "Once-In-A-Lifetime" opportunities for race fans, and have exclusive use of the track's logo for the convenience store category.

GPM Investments LLC is headquartered near Richmond, Va., and operates over 140 convenience stores in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and North Carolina. The company trades under the Fas Mart brand in Virginia and the Shore Stop brand in the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia, and the state of Delaware, commonly referred to as the Delmarva Peninsula.
