WASHINGTON -- BP America Inc. was recognized by Point-Of-Purchase Advertising International (POPAI) for the oil giant's "vivid and compelling" at-store advertising.
"Effective advertising at our retail locations is essential as we continue to introduce a relatively
new BP brand image, BP Connect convenience stores and BP's Wild Bean Cafe offer in U.S. markets," Richard Griffin, BP's vice president of marketing, said in accepting POPAI's first-ever Retailer Chief Award.
"Retailers, as well as the manufacturers of products we sell, rely on those who design and produce in-store and at-store advertising."
POPAI President and CEO Dick Blatt noted, "Given BP's success in branding the retail environment with lively at-store advertising, POPAI is especially pleased to recognize BP. The at-store advertising industry is stronger because of BP's contributions."
