Deli Express Aids Victims

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Deli Express/E.A. Sween Co. has donated $52,000 to the American Red Cross, and the Widows & Children?s Funds benefiting those families affected by the attacks on September 11th.

Company Chief Executive Tom Sween donated $15,000 to each fund and then asked employees to contribute as well. The company in turn matched employee contributions dollar-for-dollar. The donations, totaling $52,000, have been received by the charities and will be given to those families who lost loved ones in the attacks.

"Along with all Americans and, indeed, people around the world, I was heartbroken by what happened on September 11th," Sween said. "It was important to me to make this donation -- and our employees are so incredible. They made personal donations that were then matched by the company. We are glad we can do what we can to help those devastated by the 9-11 attacks."
