Wal-Mart Canada also enhanced its photo services last month, albeit with a different vendor from its U.S. parent. The retailer is working with Sony's ImageStation online photo service to offer same-day digital prints in-store. Consumers can upload their digital images from home/personal computers to

ImageStation.com, and then can choose to pick up their photo prints at a local Canada-based Wal-Mart store.

At ImageStation.com, consumers configure and confirm their orders, which are then shipped to the nearest store for pickup. A store locator on ImageStation.com helps consumers locate the nearest pickup location.

"Wal-Mart is focused on making things easy for all our digital photo customers," says Tony Hugens, business development manager, photo centre online at Wal-Mart Canada. "Offering digital prints for Sony Electronics' ImageStation users is a part of this ongoing effort."

ImageStation is Sony Electronics' online photo service that allows people to upload, store, and share their digital images and video clips online. Members of the service can also order photo prints in a variety of sizes or have them incorporated into a variety of photo gifts, including photo albums, calendars, mugs, puzzles, tote bags, and cookies.
