Stop & Shop to Carry Peet's Coffee & Tea
QUINCY, Mass. -- Stop & Shop Supermarket Co. here will now stock products from Peet's Coffee &Tea, Inc., an Emeryville, Calif.-based specialty coffee roaster and marketer. A range of Peet's signature whole-bean and ground coffees is scheduled roll out by mid-March in 239 Boston-area and Connecticut Stop & Shop stores.
"We are very impressed with Peet's direct store delivery program and their extraordinary commitment to delivering fresh, hand-roasted coffee to their customers," said Stop & Shop grocery buyer Steven Fernandez.
The available coffees, which will all be packaged in 12-ounce bags, will be Peet's French Roast, Peet's House Blend, Decaf House Blend, Major Dickason's Blend, and Sumatra.
Peet's said it delivers to grocery stores in select markets throughout the country. The company has trained DSD "Peetniks" that work directly with grocery partners to manage orders and deliver and rotate products in each location.
Stop & Shop employs more than 58,000 associations and operates 385 stores in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York, and New Jersey.
