Raley's Senior Exec Named Chair of California Grocers Assn.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Bill Anderson, e.v.p. and c.f.o. of regional independent Raley's, West Sacramento, Calif. was yesterday named chairman of the board of The California Grocers Association (CGA), as the trade group elected its 2006-2007 slate of officers and new board of directors during its annual

meeting in Las Vegas.

"CGA's board of directors represents an excellent cross section of both grocery retailers and suppliers," said Peter Larkin, president of CGA, based here. "This unique diversity allows us to understand issues both from large supermarket chains and small independent grocers."
