Food City to Add First Mexican Eatery in Chandler, AZ Store
CHANDLER, Ariz. -- Food City, the 61-store Hispanic-themed supermarket chain owned by Bashas' Inc., opened its first in-store restaurant this month at a location here, as part of a $2 million remodel.
The restaurant, Su Cocina Dos Ranchitos, has indoor and outdoor seating
for more than 100, dozens of menu items from all over Mexico, a stage for mariachi music and televisions tuned to Mexican soccer games and telenovelas, according to published reports.
Food City said that if the new eatery succeeds, the model will be duplicated at other stores.
