Ingles Markets president retires
ASHEVILLE, N.C - Supermarket chain Ingles Markets Inc. said Monday that Vaughn "Vic" Fisher, its president and chief operating officer, has retired.
Fisher joined Ingles in 1972 and has held his current positions since 1996. He has also served on the company's board
since 1985 and will continue as a director until the company's annual meeting in February.
Robert Ingle, the company's chairman and chief executive officer, will serve as interim president until Fisher's successor is named.
Ingles Markets, based in Asheville, North Carolina, has operations in six southeastern states.
