Clemens Family Markets to Offer Free Heart Scans

KULPSVILLE, Pa. - Kulpsville, Pa.-based Clemens Family Markets has partnered with the Preventive Health Care Center to give shoppers the chance to win a free heart scan at each of the 19 Clemens Family Markets located in the greater Philadelphia area. The giveaway is part of a new promotion called "Get

Smart About Your Heart at Clemens" that will run from Sept. 20 through Oct. 11.

The HeartCam Electron Beam Tomography heart scan is a non-invasive FDA-approved scan designed to detect early signs of heart disease long before the patient experiences any symptoms. It is offered at the Preventive Heart Care Center, an independently owned and operated imaging center located in the Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia.

HeartCam and Clemens will also offer free blood pressure screening and heart-healthy shopping and cooking tips as part of the promotion.

"HeartCam fits in with the Clemens philosophy about caring about our customers. Our Get Smart About Your Heart promotion supports Clemens' effort to be a heart-healthy information resource for families," says Marnie Sherno, registered dietitian for Clemens.
