GRAPEVINE: News About People.

David Mackay was appointed senior vice president of Kellogg Co. and president of Kellogg USA. John Cook, executive vice president of Kellogg Co. and president, Kellogg North America, is leaving the company. Mackay joined Kellogg Australia as group product manager in 1985. Concurrent with Mackay's

appointment, Alan Harris, Kellogg Co.'s executive vice president and president of Kellogg Europe, will assume on an interim basis the additional responsibility of managing director, Kellogg United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland. In addition, Kellogg Canada will now become part of the Kellogg Europe operating division.

Technology Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (TTF) named James Ehret as West Coast region flavor sales manager. Most recently, Ehret has served with Mutual Flavors and Baskin Robbins Flavors. TFF develops, manufactures and markets flavors and fragrances that are incorporated by its customers into a wide variety of consumer and institutional products.

Merisant named Carl Warschausky as chief financial officer. Warschausky previously served with Searle and Warner Lambert/Parke Davis. Merisant is in the tabletop sweetener business, with such well known as brands Equal and Canderel.

Tricon Global Restaurants Inc. appointed Emil Brolick president, chief concept officer of its Taco Bell Corp. division, replacing Peter Waller, who plans to pursue outside interests. Brolick is a 12-year veteran of Wendy's International Inc. Prior to joining Wendy's, Brolick held various positions with Ponderosa Inc. and Chrysler Corp.

Meals.com Inc. announced Mark Seals will join as chief operating officer. Seals most recently was with Tricon Global Restaurants. He most recently was with Tricon's international division consisting of more than 9,000 KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurants. Meals.com is a network of branded and private label websites featuring recipes and coupons.

Goya Foods Inc. promoted Andy Unanue to chief operating officer. Unanue has worked at Goya for more than a decade and is the son of Chairman & CEO Joseph Unanue.

Coca-Cola Co. named Alex Cummings as president of its Northern Africa division, one of three divisions in its Africa and Middle East Group, replacing Brendan Harris, who was appointed president of the company s Italy-Alpine division. Cummings, who joined the company in 1997, currently serves as region manager for Nigeria.
