Cookie and cracker maker Delicious Brands, Inc., Des Plaines, Ill., named Thomas Guinan president and chief executive. Guinan, who also was named a director, was co-founder and partner of Blazek Associates. Guinan replaces Michael Kirby, who left to pursue other interests.
General Mills, Inc., Minneapolis, named Stephen Demeritt director and vice-chairman and Heidi Miller a director. Demeritt previously was chief executive of Cereal Partners Worldwide, the company's global cereal joint venture with Nestle SA. Miller is chief financial officer of Citigroup, Inc. General Mills also elected 13 other directors to its board.
Glacier Water Services, Inc., Carlsbad, Calif., named Jerry Gordon as president and chief executive officer and named Richard Kayne as chairman. Former Chairman and Chief Executive Jerry Welch resigned to take a more active role with Right Start, Inc., of which he is chairman and chief executive. Welch will remain a Glacier Water director. Gordon previously was president and chief executive of Glacier Water, and Kayne is president and chief executive of Kayne Anderson Investment Management.
Peapod, Inc., Chicago, named Bill Malloy as president and chief executive officer and a member of its board, increasing membership to eight. Malloy will join Peapod from AT&T's wireless business. Andrew Parkinson, co-founder of Peapod and its current chairman, president and CEO, will continue as chairman and focus his full-time efforts on the long-term strategy and continuing business development of Peapod.
