British retailer Marks & Spencer Plc will begin selling meat from animals that have not been fed with genetically modified soybeans and corn. The feed used for the company's free-range chicken, eggs and pork had been changed. The company said it recognized that genetic modification might offer significant benefits to consumers and agriculture. However, at the same time it remains sensitive to its customers' concerns about this new technology.
