SFA is pleased to announce that the newest edition to its Board of Directors is Jamie Egasti, Vice President, North American Snacks, for the Procter & Gamble Company. He was appointed to replace Mr. Robert DeMartini of Procter & Gamble who is no longer in the snack industry.

A native of the Boston area, Egasti is a graduate of Harvard University (B.A., 1979, Psychology) and joined Procter & Gamble in Food and Beverage Sales upon graduation. He spent 10 years in sales with various assignments in New York, Ohio and Texas before moving in 1988 to corporate headquarters in Cincinnati.

Egasti worked in Procter & Gamble's coffee and juice businesses, managing commodity pricing and trade promotion structure. As part of this work, he helped lead the Sunny Delight and Hawaiian Punch acquisitions. In 1993, Egasti transferred into the Juices division's marketing department, managing the DSD/soft drink business before becoming Marketing Director for Juice Products.

In 1996, he moved on to the New Business Development in Laundry and Clean Products, becoming the General Manager of Global New Business Development in Fabric and Home Care in 1988. In this assignment, Egasti led the creation of several global new brands, including Swiffer, Febreze and Dryel. In 2001, Egasti became Vice President of Corporate New Business Development, managing the corporate innovation program. In 2002, he was promoted to Vice President - North America Snacks.

Egasti is married, with two boys, aged 13 and 15. In his spare time, he coaches the Mariemont Jr. High School Lacrosse team.
